  • Dear Families,

 

    • As part of Centennial School’s physical education program students will be involved in a Winter Activity Day on WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 3rd, 2016. Students may choose from one of the following activities:
  • *Tubing at Chicopee Tube Park
  • *Skiing/Snowboarding at Chicopee Ski Club
  • *Skiing/ Snowboarding at Blue Mountain in Collingwood
  • These wonderful opportunities are being provided so that all students can experience either an alpine program (skiing/snowboarding) under qualified instructors, or enjoy the fun and exhilaration of snow tubing. It is the expectation that all students attend one of these excellent opportunities as they are directly related to the physical education curriculum. Should costs for this opportunity be a barrier to your child participating, please contact Mrs. Adams.
  • SKIING/SNOWBOARDING
  • Students who are skiing or snowboarding will be divided into ability –level groups for instructional purposes. Since this is a school activity and part of the physical education program, all students must take the one hour lesson based on their ability level, taught by a qualified instructor.
  • CONSENT FORMS
  • Please review the activity times and costs on the reverse side of this sheet as students will need to select the appropriate consent form for their desired activity selection. These will be given to the students by their homeroom teachers tomorrow. Please complete both sides of both the consent forms. Cheques are payable to Centennial Public School, with the Student Activity ID number on the top right corner.

 

    • All cheques and consent forms MUST be back to school no later than Friday, January 15th, 2016.
  • TRANSPORTATION

 

    • Students will be travelling by bus both to and from their activity. It is the expectation that they leave from school, participate in the school supervised program, and return to school by the bus.

  • Buses leave school at 9:00 A.M.
  • Buses return to school at 2:45 P.M
  • All ski and snowboarders must wear a helmet!
  • Cost for Chicopee Ski and Snowboard
  • Lesson, lift ticket and bus $ 30
  • Lesson, lift ticket, bus, helmet, and ski or board rental $ 40
  • Chicopee Tube Park
  • Buses leave school at 9:00 A.M.
  • Buses return to school at 2:35 P.M.
  • All students must wear a CSA approved helmet (biking, skiing, skating). Since there is a limited supply available at the hill students are encouraged to bring their own if they can.
  • Cost for Chicopee Tube Park
  • Tubing and bus $ 21

 

After reviewing these selections please pick up the CONSENT form tomorrow for the activity of your choice and return it completed with a cheque by Friday January 15th.
