2. Please see the attached poster regarding parenting workshops for LGBTQ+ identified parents/caregivers as well as individuals who are parenting or caring for LGBTQ+ children and teens. Rainbow Parenting Poster (1)
3. The WRDSB, in collaboration with the WCDSB, is bringing free Harmony Movement workshops to parents and caregivers of both boards.
What is Harmony movement?
“Harmony Movement provides interactive diversity and equity education programs that empower and inspire youth, educators and those in the social service sector to develop an equity lens, empathy, respect, and leadership skills as leaders for social change. We encourage critical thinking, courageous conversations and strategy building to address and take action against stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, racism and other forms of oppression.” http://www.harmony.ca/about/

Harmony Movement has been involved in training with secondary students in our school board as well as many of our elementary and secondary educators.
This is a wonderful opportunity for parents and caregivers to learn about supporting a safe and inclusive environment at school.
