Happy New Year, Centennial Families!

We truly hope this holiday season has provided you with some time to relax with your close family. It certainly has been a different holiday season on so many levels, but your Centennial Staff are excited to reconnect with all students as we begin 2021.

As you have heard, this coming week will see elementary teachers delivering programming to all students through a distance learning (synchronous and asynchronous) model. We anticipate having our in-person students returning to school on January 11th. Students previously enrolled in distance learning before the holidays will see very little change to their program. Our in-person students will be contacted by their teacher tomorrow either through a Google Meet invite, email, or a phone call to provide direction for the day tomorrow and the rest of the week. Staff will be engaged in a staff meeting until 9:30am, so please anticipate your child being contacted by their teacher sometime after that.

To prepare for the week ahead, we will be sending out a link to a Google Form via School Day tomorrow morning for parents/guardians to complete and submit if they require a Chromebook for their child to use this coming week while engaging in distance learning. If you have already emailed the school or phoned and left a message requesting a Chromebook for your child, there is no need to complete this Google Form. Please note: Chromebook pick up times will be Monday, Jan. 4th from 12pm to 3pm and Tuesday, Jan. 5th from 9am to 3pm. Please buzz the office when you arrive and we will bring the Chromebook and charging cord out to you. Please wear a mask and if others are waiting for a Chromebook as well, please maintain a safe distance between each other. If you already have a device at home for your child to use this week, there is no need to complete the Google Form tomorrow.

Wishing you a safe and healthy year ahead! Again, we look forward to reconnecting with all students tomorrow!

Sincerely,

Mr. S. Sherlock-Principal
