January 28th, 2021
Due to the declaration of a provincial emergency and the extension of remote learning, we provided families with an extension to make changes to their child’s mode of learning.
Last week, the provincial government announced that distance learning for students in Waterloo Region District School Board would continue until at least February 10, 2021. We hope that this will provide families with the important information they need to make the right decision for their children and their families.
Families have until 3:00 pm on Friday, January 29, 2021, to request a change. Please note that this change will be for the remainder of the school year and this is the final opportunity to request a change of mode of learning.
Parents should also note that due to this extended deadline, the start date for students to begin in their new classrooms, has also needed to be extended. We will share the new transition dates once they are confirmed.
If families have already submitted their request, but have changed their mind, we would encourage you to reach out to your school by January 29 before 3:00 pm indicating that you are requesting another change.
