The following training opportunities for parents and staff are now available.  Sessions begin on Monday, March 8.  

 

The Training Webinars for Parents – March 8-April 8 are open to any parent or guardian who is interested in learning about the technology available in WRDSB to support their child.
  • Webinars will be live and held using Google Meet
  • Three different topics will be offered
  • The topics will be offered throughout the month on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, either from 12:00-1:00 pm or 5:00-6:00 p.m.
  • Schools are welcome to share the information for families on School Day
  • Pre-registration is not required
The 1:1 training sessions for staff are open to staff working both in-person and in DL who are working directly with students in the school/DL class.
  • Sessions are intended to build capacity in staff to embed the technology learning in the classroom to support students
  • Staff will need to have a specific student(s) and training goal in mind when registering for a training session – the student does not have to have an individual SEA claim assigned
  • There are a limited number of sessions available so staff are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible
