Today, April 28 is the annual National Day of Mourning for Persons Killed or Injured in the Workplace. To remember the thousands of workers who have been killed, injured or have suffered illness as a result of work-related incidents, flags at all Ontario government buildings, including Waterloo Region District School Board schools and worksites, will be flown at half-mast.

This day also honours the family and friends who have also been affected by these tragedies.
