Hello parents of WRDSB,

What are you doing on Saturday, April 7th? I am asking you because I wanted to personally invite you to an upcoming family event for parents, caregivers and community members. The WRDSB Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) and the Waterloo Region Assembly of Public School Councils (WRAPSC) is excited to host their annual free family event on Saturday, April 7th and we would love for you to attend.

By the way, there is free childcare is available for children aged 2-11.

The theme for this year’s event is Parent Engagement for Innovative Education and Student Success and you can registration online is now open. ​

We are proud to welcome two fantastic keynote speakers. The feature opening keynote will be from Marsha Vanwynsberghe​, a life diversity coach and Amazon #1 bestseller with her book, When She Stopped Asking Why – A Mother’s Journey Through Teen Substance Abuse and Loving Path to Finding Her Clarity, Courage and Purpose.  The closing address features Bardish Chagger​, Member of Parliament, Minister of Small Business and Tourism and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons.

Don’t forget to bring your kids because there is free childcare available for children aged 2-11.

We are also excited to present many talented speakers and facilitators for our morning and afternoon breakout sessions covering topics such as anxiety, Fentanyl, mathematics, diversity, technology, indigenous issues, crime prevention, mental health and more.

Your kids will have fun too. Free childcare is available for children aged 2-11.
